Pet Protection Plan
At DogSpot, we strive to prevent any unexpected surprises for you. We all know that when dogs play like kids, accidents can occur, even if they’re rare. For energetic dogs who love to fetch or chase, the risk increases slightly. Sometimes a dog simply stands in the wrong spot, and another—excited from play—may unintentionally catch them with a tooth. Because dogs use their teeth and nails as they play, it’s easy for a puncture, wound or tear to happen.
We care for an average of 2000 dogs monthly, so statistically, there’s about 1 – 3 incidents a month. Still, this risk is real, and vet bills nowadays can easily exceed $500.00. Our Pet Protection Plan covers up to $1,000.00 per incident annually. For any puncture or tear that your dog receives during their stay with us. However, we do not cover viruses or injuries to joints or legs; coverage is strictly limited to punctures and lacerations sustained at DogSpot.
If you have pet insurance—which we highly recommend—keep in mind, there’s always a deductible. If you’re insured, we’ll pay any out-of-pocket expenses related to punctures or tears. You cannot claim from both insurers; if we cover it, it’s filed under our name. If you pay for treatment, show us the payout from the insurance company and we’ll reimburse you directly. This plan is not designed for profit—we just want to save our clients’ money and protect you from surprise vet bills. Other facilities may build this into your daily fee at check-out charging an additional fee tacked onto the boarding or daycare fee you are paying. We want to give you the option, so we highly recommend it, but it is not required.
“I have been taking my dog to DogSpot for about a year now and he (we!) absolutely love it. The entire staff is so friendly and clearly LOVE dogs. Their prices are affordable and my buddy boy comes home sooo tuckered out from playing all day long. We just recently had a training session with Carlene and oh my gosh, Rocket has already showed incredible progress. I highly recommend DogSpot to anyone looking for a doggy daycare or training.”
