General Policies
Breed restrictions – DogSpot prohibits Pit Bull and Staffordshire Terrier breeds, or a predominant mix of either.
Prior to enrollment in doggy day care or boarding, all dogs must present documentation confirming current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. Puppies who have undergone a healthy examination and received two Distemper/Parvo vaccinations and one Bordetella vaccination are exempt from Rabies vaccination until deemed appropriate by their veterinarian, typically at 4-5 months of age. Please note we do highly recommend the lepto vaccine, which is transmitted from animals’ urine for example coyotes, squirrel’s, rats, anything where your dog shares the environment. If your dog is vaccinated, they are safe from contracting it.
We are committed to fostering confidence in puppies from an early age. Your puppy will interact only with dogs whose vaccinations are up to date, ensuring a safe environment. Vaccination records may be sent directly from your veterinarian’s office upon request or uploaded through your portal if available.
Please note that Bordetella vaccination is required every six months, and the intranasal form is highly recommended. If the Bordetella vaccine has expired (more than six months since administration), our facility provides the intranasal Bordetella immunization.
Flea and tick treatment is highly recommended to protect your own dog. This is something we cannot enforce as this is given by the owners, not the vet once you purchase it.
All male dogs must be neutered by nine months of age, or earlier if they exhibit dominant behaviors such as mounting. Female dogs are not required to be spayed; however, they are not permitted to attend boarding or daycare during their heat cycle. If a female dog enters her cycle while boarding, owners will be notified and may arrange for an alternate person to pick her up.
Alternatively, she will be separated from the group and placed in a designated quarantine area for her safety. She will receive walks every few hours, and an additional charge of $15.00 per day will apply during this period.
Due to the active nature of our facility and the high level of stimulation provided in our yards, we are unable to accommodate purebred pit bulls. Experience has shown that this environment may trigger prey drive behaviors in this breed, which could pose safety concerns for other dogs. This policy is not based on bias against the pit bull breed; rather, it reflects an understanding of their behavioral tendencies in highly stimulating settings. Our staff members, some of whom own pit bulls themselves, appreciate these considerations. Pit bull mixes are welcome, provided they are predominantly of another breed.
We recommend reserving your daycare stays. This can be done via phone or on your portal. We do not require this, but it will allow us to staff appropriately and ensure your dog has a spot as we do have a limit of capacity. For boarding, we highly recommend reservations to ensure your dog has a spot. We can move dogs from daycare to boarding if needed. If you have something come up yes you can call us the day of, and if there is availability there will be no problem dropping your dog off by noon that day.

“LOVE DOGSPOT. Clean, friendly staff, accommodating, and family oriented. They took my dog in like their own and even sent me updates!
Feels nice to have my dog watched by staff that actually cares! Best part is that they are open and honest.”
